Ailment | Fever with convulsions, burning sensations in the body of adults and children, indigestion, pneumonia, cough, mucus, tingling sensations within the body. 1. Five leaves of the plant, 5 leaves of shor-ochala (Eupatorium triplinerve Vahl), 1窶?root of lung-hi (Acorus calamus L.), 1窶?root of cheba-lang, 8-10 leaves of tulshi (Ocimum gratissimum L.) are taken together, dried and made into tablets the size of bean seeds. Two tablets are taken twice daily till cure. 2. Juice squeezed from the ingredients (above) is taken two teaspoonfuls at a time twice daily till cure. |

Ailment | Cardiac arrhythmia. A mixture of 1 kg each of Amomum subulatum (dried fruit), Terminalia arjuna (bark) and Acorus calamus (root) along with 0.5 kg of tal misri (sugar made from juice of Borassus flabellifer) is boiled in 5 liter of water till the decoction is about 2.5 liter. 75 ml of the decoction (arjunarista) to be taken twice daily for 7 days. Boch is also used as a spice by the Garos. |
