• Nicotiana L.

ナス科 【属名】ニコティアナ;タバコ属 tobacco; wild tobacco; nicotiana オーストラリア・ポリネシア・南北アメリカに約100種が分布する。一年草・多年草、ときに低木。葉は互生し全縁。花は頂生の円錐花序または総状花序につき、筒形の5弁花。タバコの原料として、各地で栽培され、観賞用にもされる。

ナス科 シュッコンタバコ;ジャスミンタバコ jasmine tobacco; sweet tobacco; tobacco plant; flowering tobacco ブラジル南部産。粘ついた粗大な多年草。葉は卵状楕円形で長さ12～30cm。花筒は長さ6～12cmになり、花冠が広がる。花色は白色・クリーム・桃・深紅・紫紅色など。

ナス科 マルバタバコ;ルスチカタバコ tobacco; Aztec tobacco; nicotine tobacco; Turkish tobacco; Indian tobacco; wild tobacco; Midewiwan sacred tobacco N.paniculataとN.undulataとの自然雑種が生じ、続いて染色体が倍加して起源された4倍体種。ペルー・ボリビアの高地産。花は緑白色。

ナス科 オーストラリア・タバコ Australian tobacco オーストラリア産の一年草。高さ30～60cm。花は下向きにつき、緑を帯びた紫紅色で、内側は白色。純白色もある。夜間に芳香を出す。
